Our permanent home is now Walthamstow Leisure Centre(formerly Kelmscott) Markhouse Road Getting There:
Walthamstow Leisure Centre (formerly Kelmscott) is 15 minutes' walk from Walthamstow Central tube, about 10m from St James St station (Liverpool St - Chingford line). The 58 & 158 bus routes pass the Centre at the Queens Road stop on Markhouse Road . More details from Transport for London (type in the bus number, or Queens Road E17).
We have six courts in the Main Hall. Ask at reception, but it's essentially up the main corridor to the end and turn left... ParkingThere is normally just enough parking! Charges apply (£1/hr: March 2022). You can pay via machines in the car park (which carry details of an app you can use instead). From 14 March 2022, paper vouchers are being withdrawn. If you still have unused permits (or a Blue Badge), take them to Reception, where staff will log your car registration. Otherwise visitors should pay using the Y Pay App or at the new meter being installed. Note that Centre staff are not involved; parking is managed centrally using ANPR. The Centre staff have suggested (April 2022) that there may be a 15m grace period to allow for drop-off and collection, but we're awaiting confirmation of this! |
