The club always welcomes new faces, and has a tradition of welcoming folk who haven't played for some years, as well as those new to the area.
You should probably already know which end of the racket to hold - absolute beginners will be better off with a suitable course, although they might well be able to join us after a couple of terms. If you've played at all before you'll find you'll slot in comfortably. On the other hand, we do also welcome more advanced players: only the better league players will feel any challenge is missing. Almost everyone who joins us is "very rusty" - that's fine!
Visitors can play without charge for the first two sessions. After that, we'd invite you to make a decision about joining.
When you turn up for the first time, just introduce yourself to John, and you'll be involved in a game within minutes!

Membership is open to anyone over 14, and is available only on a monthly basis - this is necessary to keep afloat financially.
